What is Stripe?
Stripe is one of the world's leading (and we believe, best) payment platforms. Paythen is built on top of Stripe so you get all the power of Stripe with added flexibility and functionality provided by Paythen.
How can I connect my Stripe account to Paythen?
Step 1: Create your free Paythen account here. No credit card needed.
Step 2: Once you sign up, you can personalize your customer-facing elements like your logo and brand color so your payment pages and emails reflect your business. You can also do this later.
Step 3: We'll take you to an example of a plan payment/checkout page your customers would see. You can complete a test payment here to understand the payment flow for your customers. Or you can navigate away and explore Paythen.
And that's it for the initial setup! We automatically add some sample data for you to play with as well. You can use this to decide it Paythen is suitable for you, and when you're ready to accept live payments, you can connect Stripe in three easy steps.
Ready for real payments?
Click on the CONNECT STRIPE link next to the logo when you're ready to accept real payments.
If you have an existing Stripe account you can log in, or you can create one in under a minute. Stripe will ask for basic information about you and your business to set up a new account.
Once you are logged in to Stripe, you will see the permission screen for Paythen to connect to your Stripe account. Ensure you choose the right Stripe account (if you have more than one) and click on the confirmation button.
You can revoke access any time if you choose not to use Paythen later â with one click from within Stripe or Paythen.
Note: You must be an admin or owner on the Stripe account to be able to complete this step. If you can't see the Stripe account in the list, it's likely because you are not the account admin or owner.
That's it! You're now ready to use Paythen in live mode! You can always toggle between live and test modes and their data stays separate.

Once you select a plan type, we'll ask you to enter a few bits of info and then we'll generate a plan link you can share anywhere. If you intend to use Paythen with your ecommerce workflow, you can create a template instead of a plan and read the steps here.
