The A to Z Payment Plans app speeds up your workflow by letting you send Stripe customers a custom payment plan link via email with one click. To enable this, you need to create your free Paythen account, then set up a template link that you paste into the Stripe app.
In Paythen
Step 1: To start, create your free Paythen account here, connect your Stripe account and complete some basic setup steps.
Step 2: Click on "Templates" in the main menu and create a new template with the parameters you want. You can change them later. Copy the the template link that is generated. You'll need to paste it into the Stripe app below. Here is some more info and guidance on templates.
In Stripe
Step 3: Now in Your Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com, install our app from the App marketplace.
Step 4: Go to customers and open the specific customer page who you want to send the payment plan to and open the Paythen app from the right sidebar.
Step 5: In the Paythen template link field, paste in the template link generated in step 2 above. Also add a plan name like "Jimmy McGill Payment Plan" or anything you want. And finally, add the total plan payment amount – so if the total the person needs to pay is $1000, input just 10000.
You can optionally also change any of the optional fields shown from the defaults you set in step 2.
Step 6: Click on the "Generate & Send Payment Plan Link" button and we'll automatically generate and send your customer a beautiful email with their payment plan link. Here's a preview (the actual email will use your logo, company name and more):
Once they sign up, you'll get a notification via email and be able to see and manage them directly in your Paythen dashboard. 🎉

To send payment plan links to any other customers, repeat steps 5 and 6 above. The app will automatically remember the template link you pasted before, making it even easier to send links to multiple customers.
