You can try Paythen by connecting your Stripe sandbox/test mode account to a Paythen demo account. This means you are only sharing non-production test data from your Stripe account and there is no live connection.

Before you continue, take a moment to understand the difference between Paythen's test mode - which you can toggle on and off in your Paythen account at app.paythen.co and this demo account which lives at demo.paythen.co and is a separate entity entirely from your main Paythen account.

This demo account is only needed if you want to complete more detailed end-to-end testing using test data, with Stripe objects, Zapier-based workflows or more. Most Paythen functionality can be tested directly in your live Paythen account at app.paythen.co by toggling on test mode.

But test mode does not support Zapier, does not connect to a Stripe sandbox send any data to Stripe and doesn't support some early access functionalities. A demo account does all that.

Demo and Live accounts are completely separate in Paythen at this point. Any data you create in your demo account cannot be copied into your live account.

Your Paythen demo account works almost identically to a live account. Once you have explored Paythen with a demo account, you'll need to log in or sign up to a live account here and connect your Stripe in "live mode".

Any data you create in your Paythen demo account is reflected in your Stripe account when you toggle on "Test mode" in your Stripe dashboard.

Stripe does not send email receipts or other emails in test mode. Paythen sends all emails just like we would on live. Ensure you use real working emails when testing payments.

Use any name and email. If you use a real working email, you will get Paythen email notifications, like your customers would. Stripe does not send email receipts or other emails when in test mode.

Once you have explored Paythen with a demo account and are ready to use Paythen with your customers, you'll need to log in or sign up to a live account here and connect your Stripe in "live mode" to accept live payments – you can use a live account in test mode without Stripe.
