Paythen collects payments through your own Stripe account, and Stripe handles sending that money to your bank account (called a payout). If you've just started taking payments and your money hasn't arrived, this is almost always Stripe's standard first payout waiting period, not an issue with Paythen or your account.
The first payout waiting period
Stripe holds every new account's first payout for around 7 days after your first successful payment. This is a risk and verification measure that applies to all new Stripe accounts, and it can't be waived or sped up, by you, by Paythen, or by contacting Stripe.
A few things to know about this period:
The 7 day clock starts from your first successful payment, not from when you created your Stripe account.
Any changes you make to your payout schedule or payout method during this time will only take effect after the waiting period ends.
After the first payout goes through, future payouts follow your regular payout schedule, which you can manage in your Stripe Dashboard.
When it can take longer than 7 days
Depending on your industry and country, the wait can be longer:
Businesses in certain higher risk industries can have a waiting period of up to 14 days.
Some countries have longer waits, up to 30 days in places like Brazil.
Still waiting after the waiting period?
If your estimated payout date has passed and the money still hasn't arrived, check these:
Your bank's processing time. Banks can add extra days, especially over weekends and public holidays. Once your bank finishes processing, the funds land in your account automatically.
Account verification. Check your Stripe Dashboard and email to see if Stripe needs more information to verify your account. Payouts pause until verification is complete.
Your estimated payout date. You can see your upcoming payouts and expected arrival dates on the Balances page of your Stripe Dashboard.
